True. For a major character, the PTS is… no time to die.
I think having Seydoux die would be too cliche.
Kind of wonder if the Castle of Death has a role in No Time to Die?
Honestly, I hope not.
Can you imagine the muted press response after the drum roll and reveal?
A bit like Angela Eagle’s press call to announce her labour leadership bid in 2016. At the same time a Tory leadership contender made an announcement and half the press, including the all important BBC legged it to get to that event. The results were farcical:
I can imagine the response to a press call for NTTD taking a similar anti climatic trajectory. Very wise to release it relatively quietly instead.
Maybe she’s in it ‘twice’!
Maybe Bond uses his skills to help her fake her death, and that’s how they reimagine the Tracy parallels without going down the identical route.
I agree we’ll see her ‘die’ only to reappear later. Seems the most logical from what we know.
The title doesn’t make the movie. The movie makes the title.
That’s Deep man
I kind of hope they do something more clever that we haven’t thought of. Be nice to be surprised.
The announcement tweet refers to Bond as 007. Hmm.
And again makes no reference to NTTD as Craig’s final film…everyone waiting to see how 25 does before making choices on 26 per chance?
It is indeed strange. If they knew for a fact that Craig would hang it up they would market the hell out of that.
Maybe Craig again is on the fence, waiting for how the film turns out. If it is a massive success with good enough reviews he will be back. If not he will move on - or be moved out.
Which maybe points to a harmonious and productive process, rather than the accident strewn car crash painted by the media?
The character is James Bond 007. Whether or not he’s 007 in this particular story makes no difference to it.
I noticed the other day that in Licence To Kill the scene in London with a sobby Moneypenny has M refer to Bond as 007, despite him having sacked him earlier in the film. Silly M.
But if Bond has retired at the beginning, with Lynch taking over as 007, this might point to Bond taking over that number again.
I think I’m among a select few who’d rather have Craig leave and have a young Bond on the next outing,I miss the youthfulness Goldeneye, CR and QoS brought to the series
I don’t think EON have made a decision either way, simply because they don’t know what situation MGM is going to be in down the line, or even who will be forking out for the lions share of the budget.
If Lynch survives what’s the bets that she is revealed to be a Ms. B Fairbanks, and becomes 002 off to Die Another Day ( off screen possibly )
