My only knowledge of Sheeran is his GoT cameo and role in Yesterday. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a song of his!
I’m jealous… ignorance is bliss.
I’m sure there is nothing in this, but passing it on anyway…
They’re convinced because she drank a cocktail…
Do I need to say more?
That’s not even the proper drink. This one’s a Martini (with two olives). Bond’s signature drink is a Vesper (with a lemon zest).
Also, she’s with Sony.
Also she’s massively overhyped and not nearly as good as she used to be.
You’re posting on a James Bond fan forum. I can guarantee you arn’t the target market for her…music…
Ah, she’s a singer then. I was wondering…
SassiLive is claiming she’s in Matera already prepping to film the music video
Let’s see if this pans out…as I mentioned elsewhere previously - if it does it may bode well to bringing back the composer/title song artist collaboration, as Zimmer and Beyonce just recently worked together on The Lion King, including an original song for the remake.
And by the way, one of my New Years resolutions is to drink more martinis than last year.
How bland and uninspired… oh dear!
Hoping it’s BS
I usually don’t give anything on rumors that come from obscure local websites, but this is the Matera news site. They had good reports before and while the shooting was going on over there, and they have a local reputation to lose. So, I estimate the chances of this being correct at around 75%.
Might be bland and uninspired, but marketing-wise it would be a clever move.
If true she’s probably roughly where Tina Turner was in terms of popularity 25 years ago. With the younger audiences that’s a major advantage.
I wonder if the lead singer changed when the composer changed? I thought we read about another singer being in Matera months ago to supposedly film the music video. Makes you wonder how much clout Zimmer brings to the table. Looking forward to all of it.
Really disappointed if true.
Well judging by the performance of her Everything is Love Carter’s LP with JayZ we’re in for a forgettable blah that tanks in the charts… whoop whoop
I imagine that attracting the demographic of both jack white and alicia keys seemed like a clever move at the time.
I recently had the misfortune of having to go through Beyoncé’s opus to choose a track for an edit. I went through the instrumental versions, as it was laid under dialogue.
I was astonished how little her backing tracks changed; had to keep checking the titles since almost every single one sounded the same - homogenous bass knocked up by a hack on the train to the studio.
Which is the flavour of the month in pop at the moment it would seem.
There’s some great pop out there but you just have to look harder for it under the Ed Sheehan/Louis Capaldi detritus. Try Georgia’s new album out today for serving Robyn sad bops greatness. Though she would be a totally inappropriate Bond theme choice
