No Time to Die theme song

Well, everybody likes different things. But, really??? Did we watch the same program?

To each his own. I thought it was great.

Nope. The orchestra played LALD for Sandra Oh & Ray Romano presenting the Oscar for Makeup and Hairstyling.

I think it worked very well. But I still can’t say whether she a has a great voice since she always uses this hushed, whispery style.

So Billie Eilish appears to be teasing some new music (or at least a song of hers that I haven’t heard before)…

its for Vogue magazine apparently from a shoot - song is the Isaac Hayes version of ‘Walk On By’ (the Dionne Warwick/Burt Bacarach song)

Thanks. I must be trying to blot out some of the show from my mind…unsuccessfully.

I agree! Impossible to judge anything from her nicely done accompaniment.

did show she could pull off a more classic song and arrangement - it was all very tasteful and well done - nothing to worry about

Totally, nothing to worry about. But by the same token, nothing to get excited about either.

I don’t want her to put on the “let’s do this conventionally because that’s want they want” for bond. It was appropriate for the memorial, but I hope they bring something unique to their bond song. I was sure they would, until the tease she apparently gave that it’s a Ballard. Hope it doesn’t play it safe.

Agreed. It was a chore to sit through. I’ve seen no evidence so far that we’re in for anything that’s even particularly good here, let alone special. Still hoping to be surprised, but am more fearful that this just may be a sign that I’m outgrowing Bond, or at the very least, they’re shooting for a far younger demographic than I fit into anymore.

She’s good. She’s special. It’ll be fine.

I deliberately haven’t listened to anything from her. I’m going in to this cold turkey. I’ll either like it or I won’t. I’m hoping for a Bondian melody at the very least if I’m not sold on the vocal delivery.

I keep going back and forth on if it will be a ballad or not. Part of me thinks we are not only due for one but the script will demand it.

The last 2 were ballads, so if we’re due anything it’s surely a higher tempo track.

However, I imagine they’ll play safe with yet another ballad.

i believe she or Finneas has intimated that its a ballad in interviews

From 1977 to 1983 were four ballads in a row. Brosnan’s four films never had a title ballad, and were part of nine up tempo title songs in a row from AVTAK to AWTD (QoS). I’m not including end titles (GE, TLD and LTK’s)

It will be a dramatic slow, hushed-voice ballad.

It’s the sound of innevitability

If you’re talking tempo, TWINE was about the same tempo as SF and TND pretty close, too.

NTTD could go either way. I am ready for a love ballad in a major key a la the bulk of the Moore era but this title of used as the song title doesn’t lend itself to that.
