I really thought Lin Manuel Miranda was going to win the Oscar for best song (he would 100% deserve it). But congratulations to Billie Eilish. No Time To Die is an instant classic and now that makes 3 in a row for Bond themes.

Congrats, awesome! 
Though it evidently puts some pressure on further entries both for the singers/songwriters as on the entire production. A Bond song that doesn’t score an Oscar may be seen as disappointment, especially if it’s a good one. And each new film will have to strive to at least get one Academy Award in whichever category.

Exactly. Three consecutive wins - great but…
Just from a songwriting perspective, one might also argue that none of those three were really the best of the nominees. But since the Oscars like every award are going for the most popular, it is at least a sign that the Academy is aware of Bond´s popularity.
It can and will change, of course. And quite frankly, of all the Craig era songs, “You know my name” was easily the best written one.

And the most exciting. It was the perfect song to pump everyone up about the next era which had testosterone bursting off the screen. I’m all for going in the rock direction again for Bond 26.

It’s still my favorite of the Craig-era films. It generates its own excitement, especially paired up with the title design, with horns added for the opening title sequence. The original version of the song, sans orchestration, doesn’t do much for me.

Odds are they will.
Since Roger Moore took over, every 007 actor’s debut has featured a rock tune that got everybody’s blood pumping at the start of the film with an uptempo beat – Moore’s Live And Let Die, Timothy Dalton’s The Living Daylights, Pierce Brosnan’s GoldenEye, and Daniel Craig’s You Know My Name. I’m sure the same thing will happen for James Bond #7’s debut.

The song already won the Grammy last year.

I think in this case it’s just because the song got released as a single at the beginning of '20 but then the movie which features the score was released at the end of '21.
