Ugh. It’s awful. Did Ed Sheeran come up. with it? We’ve had enough titles with “Die” in it. Like someone puked up a bunch of cliched Bond words. Fleming would hate it, zero imagination and surely they could have found a chapter title or some other Fleming related reference. I do like the logo and the video. Sigh.

It’s not great, but it’s bondian. Bring on the teaser

I’m really excited to have a title - but, really, it’s sounds like fan fiction. It’s the seventh one with live, die or kill in it.

The Brosnan-era critics point to ones like Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day as examples of laziness, while the Craig-era is supposed to know better.

Ironically, it’s lifeless.

There’s a blast from the past. I could see it playing a part in the movie. Goldfrapp are too old hat now for opening titles, i fear.

I really love it. What a great announcement video: simple, elegant and cool - just as Bond should be.

The design is a lovely throwback, although I hope they keep the normal font for the actual in-movie title sequence.

Thoughts on its relevance to the villain’s “dangerous new tech”?

I’ll forever lament Tomorrow Never Lies. It’s nuanced and appropriate.

But no, we need say the obvious out loud to remind all the moronic plebs it’s an action movie, as if James Bond isn’t enough

Hardly seems worth the wait, honestly.

But you gotta dig the “Love Boat” font.

A bit generic and definitely smacks of the Brosnan era, yet I’m happy to finally have a title. I do think it sounds both Bondian and, even better, Fleming-esque. The video is a nice touch. I hope the rest of the marketing steps it up though.

Holding out for “Pink lights and champagne” or “Nigger Heaven” were you?

It sounds great to say “what Fleming would want” or “going back to Fleming” but in practice it’d be an awful idea.

I enjoyed the Brosnan era, therefore you know I love the title.:sunglasses:

I don’t know how I feel about the title but Jay Sherman would say “It stinks!”

?

(And to fill the post with a minimum of six characters, some words…)

I quite like it. It’s not quite a slice of genius like Carte Blanche (I love that title) but it sounds like a Bond film and it’s quite fun, and it’s not just one word. Yeah, all for it.

I rather like that instead of a Fleming reference it’s actually a Cubby reference. And why not?

I’m not a fan of a title that could be used on any movie, rather than something specific like Casino Royale or Skyfall.

It’s just meh…

So far, 52 per cent like it, 30 are ambivalent, nine per cent seem to hate it - possibly more once they find the way to the polling station.

By the year the film’s released in, Ian Fleming will have been dead as many years as he was alive. It might just be time to let go.

The accusations of barrel-scraping in the popular press if they had to resort to a chapter title, or some random words, I suspect they wish to avoid, as it would undoubtedly give the impression of time running out for the Bonds. The title seems as much as statement of intent for the series as anything.

Good point! That helps sway me a bit toward liking it.
