Question is: after delaying to the fall, will they risk a shift to an earlier date - with the possibility they will then have to delay again should the summer not bring better circumstances but new mutations and chaos?

I donât think we should expect a sudden move to like July and August, particularly as UK vaccine timeline is both doses offered to adults Sept (first doses by end of July). The one/two week international move forward is the most we should expect.

Havenât they changed the rules around the home video release date? Sure I read somewhere that it had changed to 45 days after theatrical release.
Though yet to be officially confirmed but yes, thatâs what was reported for the UK. Down from 16 weeks, to 31/45 days (the latter for blockbusters).
Well, well, well⌠NTTD is going to streaming.
Additionally, MGM movies, including the upcoming James Bond movie No Time to Die , will find a streaming home on Paramount+ thanks to a new expansion deal with MGM-owned Epix. This will allow the new service to have 2,500 movies in total at launch, including 700 titles from the Miramax library.

Nope, to be clear, this does not affect NTTD in any substantial way.
The film will still release in cinemas with a theatrical window of some sort (which may be as short as 30/45 days, based on the current reports for UK theatrical windows post-COVID). That decision lies solely with MGM/Universal/EON. After that point the film will be released on home entertainment (VOD, Blu-ray, DVD) - the new window arrangement for the UK which I bet will be replicated in the US too by MGM means almost definitely in time for Christmas.
Then, a few months after that, in the US, the film (in the same arrangement as other MGM titles before) heads to Epix in whatâs known as the âPay 1 windowâ, the first pay TV or SVOD availability of the film. And only then this new announcement comes in, for all of MGMâs films including NTTD, Creed II, Ridley Scottâs Gucci and other titles, theyâll go onto Paramount+ 90 days after that. Some Paramount movies will be available on Epix (remember thatâs owned by MGM) and Paramount+ simultaneously from day 1 of that âpay 1 windowâ.
Only the titles released by Paramount itself - and most specifically Mission Impossible 7, Quiet Place 2 and Paw Patrol - will be on Paramount+ 30/45 days after the first theatrical release.
(edit: corrected which films are going to be on P+ and Epix from day 1 of the âpay 1â window - only the Paramount titles. All MGMâs will still go to Epix first for 90 days)

In any event, the grosses for NTTD will be enormously smaller than projected. Which will bear the question of future Bond films being financed for much less money. If at all. There also might be a much longer pause than ever before, waiting for the virus to not be a factor anymore and world economies to recover.

Got a notice from Amazon that the score for NTTD will be released on October 8th, 2021, in Germany.
Which got me thinking: if everything goes according to plan, it will be the first Bond score in quite some time which I will listen to months before I will see the film. Because I will not rush to any cinema but wait for the home video/streaming release.
Which also got me thinking: will I avoid any review or comment?
And my answer is: no. I will absolutely âspoilâ this film completely, read everything about it that comes across my way.
On the one hand I do enjoy reading scripts before seeing the film (professional habit, drum roll, please) and have no problem knowing what will happen. On the other hand it seems even appropriate to know a lot or even everything about NTTD since I already watched the trailers ad nauseam during the last year, so I donât really get the feeling that anything will surprise me about this film.
That is: apart from the ending. And that one I also really want to know before I watch the movie. That way I can prepare for Craigâs final bow, should it turn out to be âYOLT-The Novelâ-like" (which I would prefer) or Logan"-esque which would infuriate or disturb me too much after these last months.
What about you? Avoiding spoilers and waiting to enjoy it at home? Or rushing out to see the film?

I used to be not hugely spoiler averse, for most of the over forty years being a fan I knew relatively little in advance but also didnât avoid information that came my way. Also, housekeeping on CBn comes with the odd bits of this or that which turns out to be the puzzle of the plot solved, as our eagle eyed spotters often do with the clapperboards.
I can relate to fellow fans not wanting to be spoiled but wouldnât want to go completely dark for months, like some of us do. Respect to these folks.
After SPECTREâs extreme case of spoilerism I would have preferred had NO TIME TO DIE seen a good solid âordinaryâ release - who wouldnât? As it is we can now know many plot elements and supposedly also how Craigâs tenure is going to end. It is as it is, no use to un-stir the cream from the coffee. Iâll ignore the more spoilerish reviews till Iâll be able to see it for myself - but no doubt will know much more about it in advance than any other film.
And itâs okay this way. The real mystery is the film after NO TIME TO DIE.
