I guess TENET´s fate will be the deciding factor. With MULAN the beancounters already have calculated that this release will be so much more profitable on Disney + than it could ever be in theaters.
…on an iPhone.
And if someone wants a calendar for 2021 - positive thinking might still work - here is one I did not think they would publish, even with some new (?) stills from NTTD:

Here’s hoping that there’s a need for one.
Life is strange:
Safin’s mask isn’t CDC approved!
With such a distinctive appearance, Safin’s figure is my favourite of that NTTD bunch.
There’s a special topic about the Bond Funko’s.

The Moonraker one seems fitting.
I just noticed–they all have guns.
Well, eBay (UK) is beginning to show some quad posters for sale based on the bullet ridden Aston Martin.
I have asked, and am asking, if these are new printings for a November release, or just something made available from just before lock down when the cinemas closed, and which have now reopened allowing people to rummage through old stock.
The poster does not say November however. Just Coming Soon.
I love that poster.
And in fact that one previously always said April 2. So they might still use that photo.
Yeah, everyone I am speaking to says they are new!
Well well. I must admit while there is still time for a further postponement, I felt the first signs of movement would have been more of that postponement.
Evidently there is some confidence being manifested somewhere… So far the only other country to have printed these posters is Germany. I guess this answers the question of how a teaser campaign might shape up for November. It seems they have used what was to have been the main release poster for April, for a teaser campaign.
And why not? That b/w photo is a great idea, an unusual one for a Bond poster - so please, EON & MGM, keep that.
Also, I’m now all for a November release in cinemas - since it would make a home video arrival in March/April probable… maybe even earlier since any cinema release will be a financial disaster.
Agreed. Release it in theaters. Make your $62 mil box office and move on already.
Seeing how the theatres that are open will have to show TENET for the next few months…
I’m not optimistic about NO TIME TO DIE in November. If TENET was a raving success now, not critically but in kicking cinemas back into overdrive, then maybe November would make sense. As is, it seems a struggle for a film many will only pick up later on VOD or free tv even. TENET will have to play well into the Christmas season and still not succeed in an effectively impossible task.
NO TIME TO DIE will hardly fare much better since the target audience is largely identical and the surrounding circumstances won’t have improved. I don’t believe they will crash into this wall with open eyes.
To be frank, I completely agree.
So why on earth would anyone pay for a print run of new posters? Especially, as we have been told, $30m has already been spent on largely redundant marketing,
I am at a loss as to the thinking.
Before watching Tenet this week, the adverts contained something for this.
An almost subliminal credits thing mentioned on the bottom line that Eon was one of the supporting partners. Did we know about this?
I’ve heard about this but didn’t know Eon was involved. Sounds like a good idea to invest in the industry.
So they can stored in the Whistling Past the Graveyard file cabinet. Community members understand the financial situation of MGM/EON much better than I do, but what I have learned from y’all is that there is a good bit of shakiness invovled.
