Who do you want for Bond 7?

I’m unconvinced the Omega connection means anything but I’m also on the record in liking ATJ for the part. I think the basis for him succeeding is there. The Sony Spider-Man universe was rubbish well before Kraven The Hunter came along. I wouldn’t be too worried about that.

I agree. He’s not my first choice, but I think he’d be ok/good as James Bond. What sold me on his 007 possibility is his performance in Bullet Train. That was entertaining.

I have to admit currently I don’t have a first choice. At the last change of guard there were so many names in the discussion where I was at least intrigued by the prospect, from Bana to Butler to Jackman to Owen, Cavill, Isaacs there were numerous candidates I could have imagined as 007.

Right now I can maybe picture Theo James but that’s about it - and I wouldn’t be hugely enthusiastic about it either. Maybe I’m at the same stage BB was, where there’s no real obvious candidate in my view. Had there been one after SPECTRE we might not have gotten NO TIME TO DIE, I suppose.

Same here.

Right now there is not one candidate I have seen which would feel to me like Bond material.

Then again, I hope it will be someone who has never done anything but theatre, a complete unknown.

Theo James would be good, and very much in that very English that people expect of Bond, despite only 2 out of six being English…

Not really news on the Bond 26 front, but Rupert Friend did address his leaked audition tape while on the red carpet for Jurassic World: Rebirth. Channeling a bit of his inner Daniel Craig when addressing whether or not he watched it. :joy:

I have also ruled myself out of the running for the mixed Beach Volleyball at the next World Championships (the Olympics? Hmm, we’ll see). Out of what have you ruled yourself when evidently not in the running at all?

I’ll definitely not be available to coach England’s cricket team so please stop pestering me with cheques and unsolicited ladies in unsolicited sports cars on my doorstep. It doesn’t agree with my wife’s plans for my future…

OK, will see how Mr Tuchel plays out. If unsuccessfully, we’ll be back.

Should your phone ring now it’s my friend Lothar Maddäääus, no need to pick up…

Asked AI to generate the Bond from the novels but slightly Celtic
The result
Way better than Egerton
Probably better at acting than Cavill
Definitely a touch of John Hamm

This occurred to me the other day: we’re possibly only a few years away from a Bond production that saves the money for the main lead entirely…

A heterochromic Jason Isaacs with a nosebleed. It’s bold.

Windsor Knot is probably a bit off.

That’s the Connery connection

Isaacs, yes! I was wondering who AI melted in there.

Still the missed opportunity…

He certainly isn’t my pick, but if chosen, Holland will be a great promoter for the franchise and give it his all.

He still looks like a kid, that works for Spiderman, but not for Bond.

Indeed. The biggest no possible to Holland. I can’t imagine he’d be seriously considered.
