Who do you want for Bond 7?

It was only a matter of weeks ago that the Daily Mail said Aaron Taylor Johnson had already filmed a gunbarrel sequence. These ‘stories’ are nothing more than filler and clickbait.

Anyone who went on Big Brother should immediately be disqualified.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson did actually meet the Bond producers about landing the James Bond role, according to a column from former Hollywood Reporter editor Matthew Belloni (he now writes for Puck). The meeting is said to have went well.

I’m happy to hear that. The source of the information is more credible this time as well. Aaron looks the part and could remain in the role for as long as required.

He’s good looking…maybe too much so. I realize that they want to cast a younger Bond but dang it, I need my Bonds to have a bit of grit and age in their face.

Browsing the net, I’ve seen other online commenters saying someone like Johnson is too young to play Bond. They need to know Connery was 32 and Lazenby 29 in their debut films. I think he’d be fine - perhaps keeping aspects of Craig’s masculinity but with more humour.

“If Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff Kraven the Hunter or Universal’s Ryan Gosling two-hander The Fall Guy works, Taylor-Johnson might end up, ironically, too famous to take on Bond.” - well, there’s nothing to worry about with Kraven The Hunter, it will be another Morbius for sure - The Fall Guy seems like a smaller role for him and is a vehicle for Gosling and Blunt, so idk that either of those films would really launch him into the stratosphere

I agree, and think the movies would only help him if anything - getting his name out there and being more familiar with audiences.

He won’t be Bond.

It‘s the Clive Owen situation again. A name gets thrown into the ring. He seems to fit. He gets traction. At no point he gets considered really, at best he has a meeting with EON like countless others. But the agent of this one milks it by leaking to the clickbaiters and keeps his client in the conversation.

It is much too early for EON to decide. They will at best think about actors this year.

But what they absolutely will do is search for one actor who is a surprise and at least as innovative to Bond as Craig was.

What about these rumors you’re in talks to play James Bond?

It’s flattering. You can have something really positive [written about you], but you can also have something really negative that can circulate. You just want to stay in your lane, stay grounded, stay around the people that you love and love you back, and stay in that world. Because the moment you start believing the shit people say about you, you’ve lost your fucking mind. You’ve lost it.

A good way to answer the question. Neither confirm nor deny.

I used AI to create an image of what James Bond could look like using Flemings description of Bond in Chapter 8 of Casino Royale.

Too young and generic.

O.k. by me for a seven film ark…

It’s why I’m against anyone below mid-30’s, even AI ones…

Acknowledging there has been a lot of speculation about the new Bond, she said: “No, we haven’t even started casting yet.

They must think that they have all the time in the world.
