A good find and fascinating! Though he seems more indebted to Jamaica than to Fleming in the quote, the latter mustâve surely meant something to him.
Bodes well if the rumours are true. Popularity may inevitably wane, but despite some dull middle aged singles this past decade, his pedigree canât be doubted. Perhaps Fleming is the inspiration he needs (back) to return him to greatness.
If itâs Sting, then my pint is half full until I hear otherwise.

As a spokesperson not only for Purvis & Wade but now also for Mr. Sumner I do have to point out the following: he only released two studio albums with new solo material during the last two decades, also one collection of 16th Century composer John Dowland, one collection of folk songs, hymns and traditional Christmas songs, and an album of symphonic re-imaginings of his own songs - in addition to that the acclaimed musical âThe Last Shipâ. The rest were just greatest hits-collections.
During this past decade he did not release any single at all.
Yes, I googled that. But I do enjoy his musical a lot - âThe Last Shipâ actually featured his strongest songs in years.

Well, Birds of Prey and Underground6 definitely have trailers this week, so that bodes well.
This is about the time I predicted for a trailer based on the timeline for the last few films.

Iâm alluding to the very slim possibility. If the storyâs true, then itâs probably because they think sheâs a good writer, period.
Iâm just having fun with the notion, what if theyâre wooing her because bond 7 is female - would make absolute sense in that context.
Iâm aware BB said no female bond. But misdirection and changes of heart arenât unknown in the industry.
But for the record, I think itâd be an appalling decision theyâd live to regret after the initial media hoopla. In my uninformed opinion women wonât flock to see a violent spy movie in great numbers and men will be put off. Certainly not intending that as patronising sexism, just realism. Iâm sure Eon have already done the numbers and this wonât happen - itâs just a âwhat ifâ.

As a woman and a big JB fan, I really do not enjoy the idea of having a woman take over the joint. Back in the day I was rooting for a Jinx spinoff though ( what was I thinking 
). James is and always should be male. Curious to see how #metoo has changed BondâŚ

I could maybe see Bond 26, in fact, being 007 26 and Lynch continuing as 007, but not as Bond.
The brand is James Bond 007.
Itâs difficult enough to find an actor mass audiences accept.
Which means for Bond to finish with his number back in situ, Lashanaâs character will probably not last the full 120 minutesâŚ

I would hope that Bond and her survive. I also hope that the â007, come inâ-line does not reveal Lynch since it is such an obvious sight gag.
I do understand that with Bond gone his number will have to be given to someone else. But I would rather have it be put on hold since Mi6 surely will still keep Bond in sight. After all, they are not a country club. And they will reactivate him when they see fit. I find it hard to believe that he can just sulk and say: no, cannot be bothered with it anymore, I quit. Youâre in it for life once you have decided to be in it.
