I’m banking on 2hrs 50 mins myself.
2hrs 33
“We came up with a mythology about where he’s based, and how there can be a mix of cultural influences there.”
Would speak against him being Julius, but
“We didn’t pick a mask off a wall willy-nilly,” Malek adds. “We had to think extremely specifically as to what would make the most sense. If it doesn’t make sense to the story and to the character, then arguably it loses impact.”
Could be taken as the NOh being the important part…
174 minutes is not technically 3 hours…
I get the feeling they are talking about the cultural meaning attached to the specific mask, there are many types of noh mask - closest i can see from a quick look is the Onna or Wakaonna noh mask which represents a young girl, which obviously we can tie to the events near the house on the ice lake so whether this is more of a trophy esque situation or something tied to who he is hunting im not sure

P.S.: Could not get it to animate as Orion gets his to do.
So Nick deleted his tweet…I’m not saying something is afoot but…
“We came up with a mythology about where he’s based, and how there can be a mix of cultural influences there.”
I am still guessing the Kuril Islands - a volcanic island chain claimed by both Russia and Japan.
Thanks Orion!
Another set visit post, this time from Mashable
With Paloma in the Cuba sequence and an underwater sequence thereafter, we could very well be looking at echoes of Vesper Lynd if Paloma is in peril underwater with him.
Wow. That’d be nuts. Good idea.
Or a giant squid…
I enjoyed the article, but was thrown off by the opening sentences - “Lodged in the heart of Pinewood Studio’s hallowed Albert R. Broccoli 007 Stage, sitting not-so-quietly just an hour out of London, we found Cuba. Well, a hybrid custom built, fictional Cuban street…”
Haven’t we seen multiple pictures of this set located OUTSIDE of the 007 Stage on the Pinewood lot? Are we to take it they built two versions, one inside and one out? I suppose that’s possible for closeups and such, but that seems odd - at least to me.
We really want to see a giant squid.
An awkward wording for sure, although I’m sure the interiors are in the soundstage as I think the street stuff are just facades.
I’m the most curious about when BB said “Felix Leiter, his buddy from the CIA shows up and asks him to do a favour — because Felix was with the CIA, he can’t go into Cuba.”
Why can’t he go into Cuba? The US has an embassy there…
Cuba is too loud.
Maybe Ash is the agent assigned to the case in Cuba, but Felix doesn’t trust him so asks Bond to step in on the sidelines, for “a favour brother”. Why Ash would then be with Felix in Jamaica, I don’t know.
I’d love to see Craig and Magnussen fight. It’d be like Craig fighting a younger version of himself in some ways. I know it’s quite a done thing at this point but I would like either Ash or Paloma to be a villain, just think it’d be fun haha
