Perhaps Felix’s cover was blown, so he can’t navigate within the country safely.
“I need a favor.” Accidental political foreshadowing?
In that case he’d have another CIA agent go in before turning to another intelligence service’s retired agent to do it.
I’m sure there’s a logical reason given but him not being able to go in solely because he’s CIA just doesn’t make sense.
If Paloma is working with the CIA already, why the need for Bond?
Um…
Perhaps Paloma is who was sent, but Felix doesn’t trust her because…
I believe shes a CIA informant or similar? not sure if she is an out and out ‘agent’ in the same way Felix, Nomi or Bond are
That’s what I meant by “working with the CIA” because we know she is Cuban. Did not mean that she is a CIA agent…
Maybe they’re revisiting Charlotte King, the CIA agent from a previous Spectre draft. She was a CIA agent who I think ended up being a SPECTRE agent. She definitely ended up being a baddie in some shape or form.
Although might just be wishful thinking on my part as I really want a proper femme fatale in this film haha
Fiennes as M looking badass
From a Russian shortened trailer/spot which looks like that one with Blofeld going ‘your enemy is my enemy now’ some have seen at the cinema…
No Lashana Lynch in the shortened Russian trailer. Strange, as she’s a main character.
Interesting observation. The other women are cut down considerably, too.
Can we just pause for a moment to reflect that there even is such a thing as a Russian teaser trailer for a James Bond movie?!
I’m guessing the voice over translates to: “This April, british agent who defeated Mother Russia spies and police in the past comes back to defeat again a fellow comrade…”
Joking aside, despite the political hardliners, I think russians in general have sympathy for Bond, regardless of his history with russian characters.
Mother Russia supposedly always had a soft spot for Bond. KGB folklore has it the films and books used to be in demand with the upper echelon of state security and were combed for possible tactical clues - and simply served as entertainment for the privileged ranks. Naturally, the stuff was prime currency in bootlegging.
I think it’s fair to note that this shortened 1 min ‘Trailer C’ has been showing up in other European territories also! Hence the first reports of the new Blofeld line ‘your enemy is my enemy now’ back from December.
Ahhhhhhhh!
“Come on Bond!”
Very nice indeed - a good Oscars day treat!
I can’t quite hear what Safin says to Bond, something about being redundant?
His reply is quite cheesy, but Craig’s delivery saves it.
I think he says “I’ve made you redundant”
Ah, okay, thanks.
So, the note at the tomb. “Forgive me”. Presumably this is why Bond thinks Madeleine has betrayed him. Looks like it may be written on hotel notepaper, likely from where they are staying in Matera.
