No Time to Die theme song

There we have it. Eilish isn’t performing the NTTD song.

That seems appropriate.

I wonder if Ms. Eilish’s song will be as covered as Skyfall and The Writing’s on the Wall? You Tube is filled with covers (with quality varying from outstanding to “ah, no.”) of both of those songs.

It will be covered tenfold.

If you can stomach the usual Jimmy Fallon-ing, here is Finneas saying the song will drop “like really soon”:

Fallon…Fallons?..over him, but at one point Finneas says they handed it in 2 months ago.

So we can expect it to be fully incorporated into the score

Zimmer worked on it so its possible, but i wouldn’t expect it at this stage

Why would you not expect it?

Because we don’t know the extent to which Hans and co were involved with the writing and production, and it is still a separately written/produced pop song which may or may not have musical qualities that Zimmer wants to include in his score. It would be VERY presumptuous to assume that because its been done for a couple of months (which Skyfall, WOTW etc… most definitely all were) we will suddenly be back to the days of John Barry basing the entire score around the theme song

I’m expecting integration in the soundtrack and this supports my confidence:

Hans Zimmer has also been composing since before Eilish was born, but they’re working closely together now. “Yeah, we’ve become pretty good friends,” Zimmer said.

everybody that we worked with on it, Barbara Broccoli, the producer of the Bond franchise (alongside Michael G. Wilson), we got to work with Hans Zimmer and Steven Lipson in the studio — it was a real joy.

I don’t think Zimmers contribution was serving the tea.

sure - i didnt say that - just saying while its possible, modern film scores being what they are - there isnt really much in the way of theme song used as leitmotif and we haven’t seen it regularly with Bond since the Barry days - so I’m just suggesting its hardly a foregone conclusion.

Apart from David Arnold using it whenever he wrote the song, or Zimmer using “Non, je ne regrette rien” through Inception’s score…

right and we know Zimmer didn’t write the song - it was written by Billie and Finneas with an unknown level of involvement which likely was more arrangement etc… and Je Ne Regrette Rien is more thematic and obviously an older song which has built up meaning and recognition over the years (and was included by Nolan early in script not Zimmer) so a different proposition to a song that is written to be chart topping etc…

Anyway my point is really just don’t get your hopes up, it might happen and id be happy if it did, just i wouldn’t jump and say its definitely going to happen.

If I were a betting man I’d say based on what we know the title song is without a doubt, most definitely, indubitably a part of Zimmer’s score.

Yes, I’m ok with the stick I’ll get :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It really would make no sense for Zimmer to have been involved if the song then does not get worked into the score.

One more prediction: the song is called “No time to die”.
