Very sad. I love her tender film „Paris can wait“, starring Diane Lane, a totally underrated gem.
For her husband this must be another emotionally devestating time, having to go through artistic and financial upheaval, too.

At last year’s New York Film Festival, Sofia Coppola did not attend the screening of her film PRISCILLA, with it being said that she was at home with her mother.
The mi6-hq site is reporting the death last month of artist Dan Gouzee, who produced memorable poster art for three of the Roger Moore-era Bond films (including my favorite Bond image, the helmet-less Bond-in-space from the MR teaser poster).
So far the only confirmation I can find comes from, of all places, something called the Disney Food Blog, which spells his last name “Goozee,” but the numbers are right (80 years old) and the obituary details align.
Anyway, RIP to IMO one of the best poster artists from a sadly passed era.
Wow, 95. I remember him fondly as Sgt Broadhurst on “McCloud,” before he was promoted to Colonel for “Battlestar Galactica.” He was a natural for the “authority” roles with his great voice and air of no-nonsense professionalism and dependability. Alas I guess those qualities will forever consign one to the “support team” as opposed to the leading man roles; those go to the cocky grandstanding types. But he had the looks for it.
CJ Sansom - most of his fans will have been aware of his fatal condition for some time. Shame he didn’t get to see his creation on screen, Shardlake starts this 1 May on Disney+. His alternate history novel Dominion supposedly is also well worth a read.
RIP
Paul Auster - while he’s perhaps more been ‘talked about’ than actually read, I have fond memories of his New York Trilogy.
RIP
A legend.
Oh my…
So many great films, so many hours of excitement and thrills.
R.I.P.
A couple of years ago I bought on blu ray all his Edgar Allan Poe movies starring Vincent Price. Great stuff.
R.I.P. Roger Corman.
A small part, but still made a large impression…
I literally gasped when I saw the news.
Besides his own impressive output, the careers he help to start/nurture/inspire include:
Martin Scorsese
Francis Ford Coppola]
James Cameron
Jonathan Demme
Joe Dante
Peter Bogdanovich
John Sayles
Robert Towne
Ron Howard
Monte Hellman
I absolutely adore his “Finding Neverland” score. Do yourself a favor and play the track “Neverland (Piano Variation in Blue)”. It was completely improvised…
