I certainly understand.
Just no. 40th Anniversary Edition. While (fill-in-the-blank) is still not on Blu-ray.
He had the same wish three times?
That genie must have said: you‘re so stupid!
Eh… no five times actually and the movies became worse and worse each time.
This is a step in the right direction.
They got that idea now? In Germany, it’s always been (and still is) Tuesday, ever since I can remember, and while the discount was never 50%, it was still noticeable (say, five Euros instead of eight)…
“Montag - Kinotag!” Don’t you remember that one? Ca. 1980s?
Yes, you’re right, back in the 802, it used to be Mondays. Later, they switched to Tuesdays. And I’ve just read that some chains are offering Thursdays…
Same in Australia, we’ve always had “tight ass Tuesdays” and art house cinemas have “student discount Mondays”. And then there are those who only ever go to gold class.
“Josef Kleindienst, an Austrian who is building a $5bn luxury resort complexcalled the Heart of Europe on six artificial islands off Dubai, has [argued the trademarks have been commercially under-exploited.”
A sentence which tells you quickly what’s wrong with this world.
German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung did a witty profile on Kleindienst today:
The gist of it: a former disgraced Austrian police officer selling out information and spying on VIPs and other assorted celebs in the late-90s, supposedly ‘came into money’ with shares by 2004 and morphed into ‘property development’ in the Dubai region. A mover and shaker - if we want to avoid the term ‘pirate’.
Somebody able to change a £ 9 note into three £ 3 notes…
As one imagines…
Sounds like a real-life Bond villain. Not the main villain, though, one of those secondary villains that Bond has to go through to get to the main villain. The sort who gets killed off early in the story.
I was reminded of a mix of Whitaker and Elvis.
