Well, waiting for the perfect release slot will bring on those problems…
Good news for UK, there will be actual midnight screenings!
I rather like Ochogato. Huitchat, however, is a bit off-the-mark.
Ochogatito*
@theSpectre Thank you. Sounds even better.
Sounds like a quantum of solace.
Looks like public tickets for the RAH world premiere are happening - tomorrow 9am https://www.royalalberthall.com/tickets/events/2021/no-time-to-die-world-premiere/
COVID protocols: https://thirdlight.royalalberthall.com/pf.tlx?2y92Yqi2y3D.8w2
Well, a friend timed when to refresh the page by the use of a clock that measured in milliseconds, did Not find himself in a Waiting Room, or a queue, and bought two tickets, £200 each, £433 in total. The £33 being a booking fee.
I on the other hand, had not thought of that, continually refreshed, started at 184 in the Waiting Room and got to the front to be presented with a message saying the tickets were not available.
Well well…
I got through- 270 quid for a ticket. I closed the tab. I love Bond but that’s absurd money
Did you see who the benefitting charity was sir?
The RAH website doesn’t say…
well in any case it’s only 24 hours before the midnight screenings and I’d rather my first screening be IMAX so train to Manchester Wednesday night it is!
FYI for US folks - tickets on sale Friday 17th, first screenings October 7th at 4pm ET No Time to Die: Officially the Longest Bond and a Major Pain for Venom | IndieWire
I did not, but I have two weddings and a stag do to go to in the coming weeks and I just can’t justify that spend!
China release is happening, date TBC
I just spend over $3000 on evacuating from a Hurricane. There’s no way I’d pay that much for a movie ticket.
I don’t think the RAH site was ready for the floodgates to open. I was up at 1am my time and jumped in. While inputing my payment info, the screen refreshed (no action of my own) and I re-entered and then all was processing…Then I got the “event not available” screen.
A long pondering moment. I decided I’m still coming over anyway. I’ll hopefully have better luck securing a ticket for opening day.
Hope springs eternal.
Isn’t that a good thing? No Time To
Die has an appetite that other films currently don’t have?
Good man, see you soon. Been long overdue.
Not entirely sure because it’s so rare for tickets for red carpets to go on sale for public anyway. But in terms of the UK yes it does feel like there is that appetite, will be the first film back at the cinema for many…could genuinely come to pre-pandemic levels of BO over here.
fyi there’s been further confirmation from a number of UK cinemas that midnight screenings are a go! So first shows will be 00:01 on Thursday the 30th. So for anyone who wasn’t able to get RAH tickets, only ultimately a 24hrs difference I’d say There and back train-trip to Manchester on Wednesday night here we come…
Apparently the charity will be one for retired Intelligence people. Not sure which one that is but will be announced in a few days.
